Sources

Nothing on this site is typed in by hand. Every figure is read from one of the sources below on each rebuild, validated, and written to a data file the pages render from.

This site reads 11 upstream sources, of which 11 responded on the last check. The backbone is the official Inkling 2 Small model card, the announcement post, and the Tinker model catalogue — the last of which is machine-readable and supplies every price. A failure in any single source leaves the previous data in place rather than blanking a page.

Source health

Checked Nov 6, 2026, 11:44 UTC
Current state of each upstream. “Last good” is the most recent successful fetch, which survives a failure — that is why a degraded source never costs you the data.

Method

How the data flows

A scheduled job runs every six hours: it fetches each source in turn, parses it, derives the computed pages (release status, memory estimates, changelog entries), validates everything against a schema, and writes JSON files. A rebuild follows only when those files change. The site itself is fully static — no database, no runtime, no client-side JavaScript.

Failure behaviour

Each source is isolated. A timeout or a layout change marks that source degraded, records the error and the last good timestamp, and leaves the previous data intact. A source that returns zero items is treated as a failure, not an update, so a vendor redesign cannot blank the site. The exception is a source whose whole purpose is to report absence — the weights repository check is meaningful when it finds nothing.

What is computed rather than copied

Memory requirements are derived from the parameter count and layer count, with the KV-cache shape stated as an assumption. The changelog is derived by diffing snapshots. Benchmark comparisons on the /vs/ pages are computed from the same matrix that /benchmarks/ renders. Prices come straight from the vendor's catalogue, never from a typed-in table.

What is not automated

The explanatory prose. Sentences about what a number means, why it matters, and where the caveats are, are written by hand and revised when the data changes materially. When a claim contradicts the sources, the sources win and the prose is wrong until it is fixed — which is why the corrections address below exists.

Attribution

  • Specifications and benchmark scores: the official model card, quoted as facts with the source page linked.
  • Prices and served context: the Tinker model catalogue, read from the vendor's own machine-readable file.
  • Independent measurements: Artificial Analysis. Their Intelligence Index is a different figure from the “AA Index” column in the vendor's table, and the site labels them separately for that reason.
  • Discussion: Hacker News, via the Algolia search API. Excerpts are short, attributed, and linked back.
  • News: the vendor's newsroom and blog. Summaries and excerpts only; the original is always linked and canonical.

The model name Inkling 2 Small, benchmark names and vendor names are used descriptively. No vendor logos or visual assets are reproduced anywhere on this site.
